Roger Furman
Roger Furman is Of Counsel to Bellin and Associates LLC, and has spent more than three decades as a civil litigator. Mr. Furman has experience in many types of complex business litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels in state courts in California and New York, and in federal trial and appellate courts throughout the United States. He also has experience in commercial arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association and FINRA. Mr. Furman has represented many types of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, foreign companies, nonprofit institutions and individuals.
Mr. Furman also has undertaken a number of public service legal projects, including co-leading part of a constitution-drafting conference in Kathmandu, Nepal in 2009 on restructuring the Nepali judiciary system. He also served as Deputy Counsel to the New York City Charter Revision Commission in 1988-89, where he authored part of the current New York City Charter. Mr. Furman also has volunteered as pro tem judge in the Civil Trials Division of the Los Angeles County Municipal Court.
Mr. Furman is admitted to practice law in California, New York, and Washington, D.C. (he is currently on inactive status in D.C.). . Mr. Furman has a B.A. from Yale University and a J.D. from University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he was Articles Editor of the Hastings Law Journal.
